Quantum dots (QDs) are semiconductor particles of a few nanometres in size whose optical and electronic properties differ from those of larger particles due to quantum mechanics.

    Alloyed ZnCdSeS spherical alloyed quantum dots. The surface hydrophobic layer consists of mostly trioctylphosphine oxide. Emission peak width (FWHM) ca. 30 nm. Molecular weight of Core 500000, Readily soluble in hexane, heptane, toluene, chloroform and similar solvents. Diameter ca. 6 nm. Supplied as readily soluble powder
